Central Park Manhattan, a walk in New York

Central Park is arguably the world’s most cinematic park. It is a huge park located in downtown Manhattan, New York. The park is rectangular and measures 4 kilometers long and 800 meters wide. According to wikipedia it is almost twice the size of the state of Monaco. The New York Central Park is crossed by the 5th Avenue in the East (Upper East Side) and 8th Avenue (West Side Story).

In the year 1856, 340 acres of marshland in the northern outskirts of the island of Manhattan  was turned into Central Park . The park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux and there were 5 million trees planted.
Visit Central Park while jogging , (running/jogging) and you will be amazed. You will see that there are many people running with you if the day is good. Also be awed by the Lake Reservoir, The Central Park Reservoir – officially called Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir. See below.

From the inside Central Park, there are several streets that are car-free. Strolling through Central Park is a delight because it is neither flat nor straight. The roads are elevated, bordering the lakes, hills, down and go through tunnels under other roads or streets, we can find clues of skids (on ice), tennis court and even a yacht club.
